- I would like to add my 2 cents to this topic. I tried ALL (at
- least I think) of the "Free" C compilers/interpreters available.
- I used the arguement that I am a poor student to trick myself
- into thinking I would benefit from using free software. It simply
- is not worth it. Turbo C++ and Mix PowerC are both low cost
- (especially PowerC at $20) and both are excellent. I personally
- use PowerC and I can say without reservation that it is the best
- software purchase I have ever made. It is nice to see that a
- few companies still believe in writing clean, small,
- efficient codes (I am an admitted Microsoft hater). Turbo C++
- offers the added benefits of C++ and a nice GUI. It naturally
- is your choice, but strongly consider purchasing a commercial
- package. In the long run you will get more accomplished and save
- yourself a lot of trouble/time.
